    05/10/2010--The 2010 MSUSBC Women's Championship Tournament has now ended, and the following teams are Unofficial Champions in the Team Event.  Divisions are defined by team averages, as follows:  Division 1, 180 and up; Division 2, 160-179; Division 3, 144-159; Division 4, 130-143; and Division 5, 645 and below.

    Karen Young from the MO Capital Area USBC is the 2010 Women's Championship Division 1 Singles Champion with her 743 series.  She started strong with 268 and 261, and finished with a 214.  She outdistanced Nancee Schillinger from the St. Louis USBC by 10 pins, and Hall of Famer Karen Rosenburg from the Scenic Rivers USBC by 15 pins.  Young wins $200.00 for her efforts.

    In Division 2, from the Ozark Mountains USBC, Renee McComas earned the crown and the $300.00 First Prize as she shot 670, and won her division by 32 pins over Paula McCollum from the Linn County USBC.  Renee had games of 227, 220, and 223, a very consistent effort.

    Division 3 this year belongs to Nancy Schoellig from the Fulton USBC, whose 652 bested Dede Burbridge's 641 by 11 pins.  Dede is from the Northeast Missouri USBC.  Entering with a 153 average, Nancy had games of 246, 203, and 203.  Schoellig takes home $500 for her victory, while Burbridge receives $350.00.

    Northeast Missouri USBC's Tammie Turner took home Division 4 and $450.00 with a 569 showing.  Also taking the Doubles, Tammie kept it going in Singles, firing 187, 166, and 216 for a 569, almost 150 pins over her average.  Turner defeated Meighan Weaver from the St. Charles County USBC by 14 pins.

    Finally, in Division 5, Jackie Smith shot a 539 to win the division by 33 pins.  Jackie is from the Dexter USBC WBA. Jackie had games of 191, 165, and 183.  She'll cash a check for $300.00.
