05/17/2010--The 2010 MSUSBC Youth Championships are complete, and the following Teams are Official Champions for this year's tournament. Divisions are defined by Team averages, and are as follows: Division 1, 0-299; Division 2, 300-399; Division 3, 400-499; Division 4, 500-599; Division 5, 600-699; Division 6, 700-749; and Division 7, 750 and up. From the Poplar Bluff USBC, the Rushin Auto & Electric Team is the Division 1 Champion. Their 2,851 topped Kimberling City #4 by 39 pins. Kelli Vaughn led off with a 222 series, including a 98 game. Kelli averages 50. Hunter Hennen filled the two-hole with his 352, on a 72 average. Skylar Hennen was third, turning in 263 including a 103 first game. Finally, Sarah Conner, averaging 71, anchored the team with three games over 100, with the high at 136. In Division 2, Bonne Terre #2 from the Mineral Area USBC is victorious. Jayden Pettus averages 59 and shot 227 to lead off. Mark Powell, the powerhouse on the team at 104, shot a 456 with a whopping 170 in Game 1. William Cureton had 331 in the third position, and Charlie Stegall 283 as the anchor, 79 pins better than his average. Their 2,752 narrowly edged the Southside Family Fun Center team from St. Joseph MO USBC by 14 pins. Ros Bowl from the Northeast Missouri USBC is the Division 3 winner. Lucas Nilges shot over 100 pins better than his 86 average with a 452, including a 194 finish. Justin Becker followed with a 322, Jayda Borgmeyer a 403, and finally Zachary Flowers finished with a 528, including games of 200 and 183 on a 133 average. Their 1,705 scratch pins plus 1,101 handicap gave them 2,806, and a 49 pin margin of victory over Sibling Rivalry from the Ozark Lakes Region USBC. The Scenic Rivers USBC gives us the top two teams in Dvision 4. The Tinky Pinks outdistanced Burkhorn #5 by 68 pins with their 2,906 team score. Helania Arf led off with a 434 series, with a 182 high game. Deandra Sullins shot 568 on a 152 average, starting with an outstanding 268. Joshua Plank began with a 204 and shot 538 on his 134 average. The star of the team was Christopher Mackley, who averages 152, and shot a whopping 682 series on games of 193, 202, and 287. They had 847 scratch in Game 1, and 2,222 total. From the Columbia USBC, the team Pro Threat had the most consistent approach to a division win as any team in 2010, taking Division 5. Cameron Cole Cloven and Alex Sapp were the first and second bowlers on the team, and each turned in a 581 effort. Cloven, averaging 152, shot 201, 186, and 194, while Sapp, averaging 142, authored 180, 202, and 199. Jonathan Hickernell shot a 551 set including a 217 game on his 158 average, and Dylan Aitkens contributed 553 including a 202 game. Their margin of victory was 58 pins over Second Place Main Event Mafia from the Greater Kansas City MO USBC. Division 6 belongs to the Strike Kings from the Greater Springfield MO USBC. They defeated Houligans from the St. Charles County USBC by 38 pins. Cameron Noren began the attack with a 666 series. He shot games of 256 and 224 before ending with 186. Jacob Nelson followed with a 651 set, including a 259 start. James Young shot 598 with a 223 finish, and Timothy Pryor flirted with 700, shooting 694 on games of 247, 202, and 245. They shot 2,609 scratch, and had 201 pins of handicap, for a total of 2,810. Finally, Division 7 shows Arnold 3 Roosters & Chick as its 2010 Champions. Jerrilynn Kraus started out with a 638 set, including a 267 finish. Travis Rines shot 557 in the two hole, and Kyle Wiesehan followed with 619. Matthew Morris did a terrific job at the anchor spot, shooting 238, 269, and 220 for a 727 series. Their 2,541 scratch plus 72 pins handicap gave them 2,613, and a 55-pin margin over Arnold Elite, also from the Jeffco USBC. Congratulations to all of the Team Champions for 2010.
