06/06/2010--The 2010 MSUSBC Annual Meeting gave us a chance to say "Thank You" to four local associations who volunteered their time to support our major tournaments.

The Greater Joplin USBC, under President Bill Stillions and Association Manager Sonya Fort hosted the 2010 MSUSBC Open Championships at Carl Richard Bowl East and Carl Richard 4th Street Bowl in Joplin.  Bill Stillions, MSUSBC Director, was on hand to accept the plaque.

Cape Girardeau WBA President Sheila Allen accepted the plaque for her association, who acted as Host Association for the 2010 MSUSBC Women's Championships.  Meleia Sides is their Association Manager.  Team Event was held at Main Street Lanes in Jackson, MO, and Doubles & Singles were contested at West Park Lanes in Cape Girardeau.

The Scenic Rivers USBC took on the challenge of the first ever two-house event for the MSUSBC Youth Championships.  Coachlite Lanes in Rolla hosted Team for the kids, while Salem Bowl in Salem held the Doubles & Singles. Scenic Rivers President Susan Huss and Association Manager Margaret Biolsi put in a great effort assisting Tournament Director Barb Kennon in putting on a successful tournament.  Everett Briggs, a member of the Scenic Rivers Board, accepted the award from Connie Bacorn.

Finally, the 2010 MSUSBC Pepsi Youth Championships was contested at Oasis Lanes in Union, MO, with the assistance of the Four Rivers USBC Association.  President Roy Cano and Association Manager Sheryl Fisher helped Tournament Director Joyce Wolf to yet another great success.

The MSUSBC Board and bowlers of the state thank these volunteer associations for the sacrifices necessary weekend after weekend to host these events.
