    05/17/2010--The 2010 MSUSBC Youth Championships are complete, and the following individuals are Official Singles Champions for this year's tournament.  Divisions are defined by averages, and are as follows:  Division 1, 0-74; Division 2, 75-99; Division 3, 100-124; Division 4, 125-149; Division 5, 150-174; Division 6, 175-194; and Division 7, 195 and up.

    Final Official Standings

    Nick Gillihan took another title in 2010 with Division 1 Singles.  From the Four Rivers USBC, Nick shot 109, 137, and 191 for a 437 series.  Added to his 414 pins of handicap, he led Division 1 by 83 pins over Skyler Naab from the Columbia USBC.

    Justice Burbridge from the Northeast Missouri USBC takes Division 2 Singles with his 789 series. Throwing 148, 149, and 189, he shot 486 scratch, and on his 99 average, got 303 pins handicap. Justice beat Robert Parks from the Poplar Bluff USBC by 28 pins this year.

    Mineral Area USBC's Mark Dowell is the Division 3 Singles Champion in 2010 shooting 790. Averaging 104, Dowell carded 502 on games of 145, 169, and 188. Nick Burge from Moberly USBC was just 10 pins behind at 780.

    In Division 4, Zachary Flowers and Tyler Chase both topped the 800 mark, with Flowers taking the title. Entering at 133, Zachary shot a 616 scratch series on games of 233, 173, and 210. He gets 201 pins of handicap, and his 817 gives him an 8-pin margin over Chase, who shot 644 scratch with 165 handicap pins.

    The 150-174 average division finds Alex Weinhold with a mere six pin advantage over Benjamin Schumann of the Moberly USBC. Alex, from the Four Rivers USBC, shot 223-178-257 for 658, and he received 126 pins. His 784 total topped Schumann, who had 643 with 135 pins, and Weinhold takes Division 5.

    With games of 245, 247 and 196, Jeremy Ferkel of the Jeffco USBC took the Championship in Division 6. He entered with a 185 average, and received only 45 pins of handicap. His 733 total gives him a 21 pin margin of victory over Scott Hillis of the Missouri Capital Area USBC.

    In the division of Masters, Anthony Santoyo and Theo Shipp from the Greater Springfield MO USBC bowled scratch, and finished 1-2. Anthony fired a 299 game to start his singles event, and followed it up with 248 and 213 for 760. Theo turned in 690, DJ Swafford from the St. Charles County USBC had 689, and Cameron Feeler, also from St. Charles, had 688.
