    05/17/2010--The 2010 MSUSBC Youth Championships are complete, and the following individuals are Official Singles Champions for this year's tournament.  Divisions are defined by averages, and are as follows:  Division 1, 0-74; Division 2, 75-99; Division 3, 100-124; Division 4, 125-149; Division 5, 150-174; Division 6, 175-194; and Division 7, 195 and up.

    Final Official Standings

    Nick Gillihan finished his big tournament with a Division 1 All-Events crown.  From the Four Rivers USBC, Nick shot 329 in Team, 394 in Doubles, and 437 in Singles.  Nick annihilated his 62 average across 9 games, and won the division by over 120 pins over Winston Wolfe of the St. Joseph USBC.

    Lucas Nilges and Justice Burbridge bowled in the same group from the Northeast Missouri USBC. Lucas entered the tournament with an 86 average, and shot series' of 452, 385, and 417, including a 194 finale in the team event. He ended up with 2,280, while Burbridge brought home second place with his 2,245 effort.

    Moberly USBC's Russell Shoemaker is the Division 3 All-Events Champion in 2010 shooting 2,238. Averaging 119, Dowell carded 502 on games of 145, 169, and 188. Mark Dowell from the Mineral Area USBC was just one pin behind at 2,237.

    In Division 4, Ethan Gibbons from the Greater Springfield MO USBC topped Singles Champion Zachary Flowers for the All-Events Crown. Entering at 146, Zachary shot a 534 in Team, 596 in Doubles, and 607 in Singles, including five games over the 200 mark. He gets 486 pins of handicap, and his 2,223 gives him an 5-pin margin over Zachary, who shot 1,615 scratch with 603 handicap pins.

    The 150-174 average division finds Charles Whitehead with a mere one pin advantage over Nicholas Gilbert of the Northeast Missouri USBC. Charles, from the Four Rivers USBC, shot 1,880 scratch, and received 306 pins of handicap.  Averaging 166, he had series' of 561, 680 (with a 276 game) and 639 with all three games over 200.

    With series' of 642, 683 and 627, Corey Meczkowski of the Jeffco USBC took the Championship in Division 6. He entered with a 192 average, and received only 72 pins of handicap. His 2,024 total gives him a 1 pin margin of victory over Glen Sapaugh III of the Scenic Rivers USBC.

    In Division 7, Anthony Santoyo from the Greater Springfield MO USBC continued what he started in Singles. Anthony fired a series' of 661 in Team, 629 in Doubles, and finished with his big 760 in Singles. His 2,050 was tops in the division, with Jonathan Heimann and Wesley Edwards from the St. Charles County USBC just six pins behind at 2,044.
